With six years experience at Iowa Realty Commercial, Darin was resolute in embracing his dream of owning a commercial real estate business. With the support and commitment of his long list of clients, Ferguson Commercial Real Estate Services was formed in November of 1999.
Having finished as the top producer for sales and leases for Iowa Realty Commercial in 1998, Darin Ferguson is aggressive, conscientious and extremely knowledgeable. Representing both buyers and sellers of commercial real estate assets, Darin is also involved in conducting complex negotiations, planning growth patterns for clients with expansion goals, conducting comprehensive market surveys and developing targeted marketing plans for available properties.
Prior to joining Iowa Realty Commercial in 1994, Darin demonstrated his hardworking nature as a full-time student who also owned and operated a full service lawn care and snow removal company.
An active participant in local, regional and national organizations, Darin holds memberships in the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association of Realtors, the Iowa Association of Realtors, the Iowa Land Board of Realtors, and the Greater Des Moines Business Exchange. Darin has participated in the Leukemia Society of Iowa’s Team in Training fundraiser and completed his first marathon in June 2000 in San Diego, California. Darin was honored as Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s Outstanding Business Leader of 2001 and most recently, was pleased to be an honoree of the Des Moines Business Record’s second annual “Forty Under Forty” class. In June, Darin received the designation of “Man of the Year” from the Iowa Leukemia-Lymphoma Society for his fund raising efforts.
Darin is a licensed real estate broker in Iowa. In June 1997, Darin acquired the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member through the Commercial Real Estate Institute and followed in 1998 with his Broker designation. Darin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Northern Iowa in May of 1994.
